Burned neighbor's car to avenge his wife
Believing that the neighbor put pressure on him and brought thugs to his house to beat his wife, causing her to be hospitalized, Mr. Mien poured gasoline and burned the family's 7-seat car.
On March 18, Quang Ninh Provincial Police said they were detaining Mr. Khong Van Mien (56 years old, residing in Mong Duong ward, Cam Pha city) to investigate the act of property destruction.

According to the investigation agency, at about 1:00 a.m. on March 15, Mr. Mien left home wearing raincoats and a helmet, carrying a 15-liter can of gasoline, some plastic baskets and sacks.
Leaving the "material" on the side of the Fortune parked in front of the neighbor's three-story house, he poured gasoline on it and set it on fire. The fire caused no human casualties but the car was completely burned.

According to Mr. Mien's testimony, in 2016, he and his wife borrowed 100 million from this neighbor couple. Due to economic difficulties and worrying about his son's education, he repeatedly delayed the payment.The conflict climaxed on March 13 when Mr. Mien was away, the neighbor and some young men came to curse, threaten, and beat his wife, causing her to be hospitalized.
