Burning down factory because owner paid low wages
Thinking that the salary was too little compared to 10 hours of work, Hung burned down the paint factory, causing damage of 1.5 billion VND.
On the afternoon of June 22, Nam Tu Liem District Police said they were detaining Cao Xuan Hung (22 years old, residing in Tuyen Quang) to clarify the act of burning down a production workshop.

At the investigation agency, Hung stated that he was an employee of a furniture manufacturing company and was given food and accommodation at the factory by his employer. However, he worked about 10 hours a day but only received a salary of 4 million VND a month. Thinking that he was being paid poorly, he came up with the idea of burning down the factory to “vent his anger”.
On the evening of June 19, Hung took about 30 liters of butyn (a flammable substance similar to gasoline) and poured it into the paint shop where he worked and set it on fire. After the fire broke out, Hung continued to take more butyn and poured it onto the floor.
Many workers were preparing to go to bed but discovered the fire in time and escaped. Property damage after the fire was estimated at about 1.5 billion VND.
After the incident, Hung returned to Tuyen Quang and was arrested on June 21.
