The Vietnamese women's national team continues to hold the number one position in Southeast Asia.

In Southeast Asia, Vietnam continues to consolidate its number one position as Thailand has dropped one place to 31st.

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has just announced the women's football rankings for the third quarter of 2013. Accordingly, the Vietnamese women's national football team remains at 28th in the world with 1654 points, as they have not played since the 2014 Asian Cup Women's Qualifiers.

In the Asian region, the Vietnamese women's team is firmly in 6th place after Japan (3rd in the world), North Korea (8th), Australia (8th), China (15th), and South Korea (16th).

The Vietnamese women's national team continues to solidify its position as the number one team in Southeast Asia.

In Southeast Asia, Vietnam continues to consolidate its number one position as its formidable rival Thailand has dropped one place to 31st.

In the world's top 10, the US team continues to dominate the number one spot since the beginning of 2013, followed by strong teams like Germany, Japan, Brazil, Sweden, and France, who have maintained their rankings. The positions below have changed, with Canada, North Korea, and Norway all moving up one place, while only Australia has climbed two places.

The Vietnamese women's national team reconvened on August 1st to prepare for the 2013 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship, which will take place in Myanmar from September 9th to 22nd. Coach Tran Van Phat and his team will have over a month of training, including a more than 10-day training camp in South Korea, before heading to Myanmar to participate in the 2013 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship. In the 2013 AFF Women's Cup, Vietnam is in Group A along with Thailand, Malaysia, and two invited teams: the Australian U19 women's team and the Jordanian women's national team.
