France National Team: Griezmann and the haunting past
(Baonghean.vn) - Eight years ago at the 2010 World Cup, the French national team was involved in a shameful scandal in South Africa. At that time, captain Evra led a rebellion directed at coach Domenech. The French were very worried that a similar incident would happen again in Russia when striker Griezmann fought with coach Didier Deschamps when he was substituted.
Before coming to Russia, coach Didier Deschamps had immediately dropped Real star Benzema because this player was suspected of blackmailing teammate Valbuena.
Expectations are placed on Griezmann, a star who is being courted by many big clubs in Europe such as Real, MU, Barca, and Juve. Striker Griezmann joined Atletico in 2014 and has scored a total of 112 goals for the Madrid team.
Take advantage of the opportunity to ask for a raise
According to French media, the Atletico Madrid star has left some of his teammates feeling “upset” when, instead of focusing on the World Cup, he has repeatedly made false statements about whether he will stay or leave. A day after the French team arrived in Russia, Griezmann confirmed that he will leave Atletico Madrid for a transfer fee of £100 million.

However, just two days later, on social media, the French player released a video titled “The Decision”, in which he finally revealed that he would still stay at Atletico Madrid.
It seems that Griezmann is taking advantage of every hour to make a fuss with his club Atletico Madrid to get a pay rise rather than focusing on the national team. In order to keep their best player in the squad, Atletico's board of directors have prepared a contract to increase Griezmann's weekly salary to 300,000 pounds.
Up to now, MU star midfielder Pogba has been questioned due to his erratic personality and fluctuating form over time, but French fans believe that Griezmann is a "time bomb" and should be eliminated if necessary.
Coach Didier Deschamps has a squad of young players, with an average age of 23, and is the most expensive at the 2018 World Cup. If 23 players in the squad are transferred, the French team could pocket 950.4 million pounds. Next is the Spanish squad, estimated to earn 906.4 million pounds, followed by the Brazilian team with 863.3 million pounds.
Antoine Griezmann's transfer fee is 88 million pounds, second only to Paris Saint Germain youngster Kylian Mbappé with 105.6 million pounds. In fact, as the leader of the attack, Griezmann should be guiding his juniors, but on the contrary, the ball to this star's feet is often delayed and many times stolen by Australian players.
Forget the duty on the field
When the score was tied 1-1, striker Griezmann was substituted and the French team scored the second goal. Therefore, although Griezmann was voted the best player of the match by FIFA after scoring the opening goal from the 11m mark, he lost a lot of points in front of fans and teammates.

Immediately after the image of this player "acting up", the coach of the French team, Didier Deschamps said: "Antoine is the leader of the team's attack but what he has shown is still not up to standard. He needs to be aware of that and try harder."
“It's not really nice to see a player being substituted, but in that match he played below his best and the person who came in to replace him will do better than him,” the French coach added.
If Olivier Giroud or Blaise Matuidi start against Peru on June 21, it won't be surprising because France coach Didier Deschamps always knows what to do with selfish stars.
