Despite a courageous first half, the Vietnamese women's team suffered from fatigue and individual errors in the second half, allowing South Korea to score three goals, ending their participation in the 17th Asian Games in fourth place.

Similar to the semi-final match against Japan, the Vietnamese women's team entered the game with a relaxed attitude. Furthermore, the players maintained a well-organized formation. In the first 45 minutes, the Vietnamese women's team neutralized South Korea's attacking power. In fact, credit must be given to the players for creating a tight defensive structure that thwarted South Korea's intention of a quick victory.

In the second half, South Korea continued to push forward while Vietnam remained faithful to their defensive counter-attacking strategy. It was clear that the home team still had the edge over our girls in terms of ball control and especially physical fitness. South Korea constantly made high-speed movements and passes, and thanks to that, they scored the opening goal in the 55th minute. However, this was more of a lucky shot than a deliberate attempt by Hahnul from outside the penalty area. The ball went low into the far corner, too difficult for Kieu Trinh to save.

After the first goal, South Korea unexpectedly scored two more goals in the easiest way possible, with the same scenario: Goalkeeper Kieu Trinh fumbled the ball and their players pounced on the rebounds. Seolbin scored to make it 2-0 and Heeyoung to make it 3-0.

It's a shame for Kieu Trinh because in the first half, she played very impressively with two spectacular saves to rescue the Vietnamese team. Perhaps, her declining physical condition caused her to lose focus and not maintain her best ball control.

Thus, the Vietnamese women's national team did not spring any surprises in the bronze medal match against South Korea. However, with a fourth-place finish overall, we have every right to be proud of the performance of Coach Mai Duc Chung's team. This was certainly a valuable tournament, helping the Vietnamese female players gain experience and acquire the necessary skills for the future.
