On the afternoon of November 14, the Vietnam team completed their training session in Viet Tri before flying at 9:35 am on November 15 to Vientiane, having 4 days to prepare for the match against Laos on November 19. Positive spirit, not subjective after the 5-0 first leg win.
On the morning of November 15, the Vietnamese team will leave Viet Tri (Phu Tho) on a flight departing at 9:35 am to Laos, starting 4 days of preparation in Vientiane before the match on November 19 in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup. Previously, on the afternoon of November 14, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team concluded their last training session at Viet Tri Stadium.
Team spirit: focused, disciplined, not subjective
Before the training session, captain Do Duy Manh shared about the atmosphere and performance of the team after a period of intense competition in the V.League. He said: “The team's atmosphere is very good at the moment. We have just gone through a period of intense competition in the V.League, but the coaching staff has made reasonable adjustments so that the players can reach their best performance for the match against Laos. The whole team is highly focused and ready for the upcoming match.”
Regarding the requirement to win convincingly, the number 2 center back emphasized the spirit of victory but did not allow subjectivity: "It is impossible to say anything before the ball rolls, but the Vietnamese team always has the goal of winning. The players all practice enthusiastically, strictly following the coach's tactics. Whoever is given the opportunity will try to perform their best. If there is a big victory, it will certainly be a joy for everyone, especially the fans."
“Not only me but all the teammates are close and united. The team represents Vietnam in international competitions, so everyone is aware of their responsibilities. We will try our best, follow the training plan of the coaching staff and aim for victory,” Do Duy Manh added.
Travel plan and preparation rhythm for the match on November 19
- November 14: End of the last training session at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho).
- November 15: Depart for Laos on flight departing at 9:35.
- November 15–18: 4 days of training in Vientiane.
- November 19: Play against Laos in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.
In the first leg at Binh Duong, the Vietnamese team won 5-0. That result created a positive psychological foundation, but the message from within the team was to stay focused until the end, prioritizing tactical discipline and a solid approach to the match.
Professional perspective from internal statements
The highlights of the speech show that the focus of preparation lies in two factors: adjusting physical condition after the tight schedule of V.League and strictly following the intentions of coach Kim Sang-sik. The team aims to win, but the choice of words “not subjective” and “you can’t say before the ball has rolled” shows the mindset of controlling risks and limiting errors right from the preparation stage.
Besides the spirit of solidarity, the emphasis on "whoever is given the opportunity will try" reflects healthy internal competition, motivating each individual to reach their peak performance in time for the match on November 19.
Notable personnel information

The first leg is standard, the second leg requires discipline.
The 5-0 win in Binh Duong was a measure of ability, but the match in Vientiane was still a test that required concentration for 90 minutes. With a clear travel plan, the team used the 4 days before the match to perfect the pieces according to the coaching staff's training plan, aiming to win 3 points.
The Vietnam national team departed at 9:35 a.m. on November 15, carrying with them a united team and a unified message: be confident in the way you play, focus on every detail, and respect your opponent until the last minute.
