Vietnam national football team will wear home jersey in the match against Philippines
Vietnam will wear red shirts even though they have to play away in the first leg of the semi-final against the Philippines.
The Vietnam and Philippines teams attended a technical meeting before the match. The notable issue in this meeting was the registration of the competition uniform. According to the regulations, the home team has the right to choose the color of the competition uniform and the Philippines will choose white in this match, their traditional home shirt. Meanwhile, the Vietnam team has a 'traditional' red shirt so they will wear their home shirt in this match.
Specifically, the Vietnamese team will wear their traditional outfit of red shirts, red pants and red socks. This is the third time in this year's AFF Cup that Coach Park Hang-seo and his team have worn this color, previously in the 2-0 win over Malaysia at My Dinh and the 3-0 win over Cambodia at Hang Day.
So this is the shirt color that is helping the Vietnam team win all the matches in the AFF Cup 2018, while the white shirt has had a draw (with Myanmar). The goalkeeper continues to wear the blue shirt.

Fans always believe that the white shirt is the lucky color of the Vietnam National Team. Specifically, at the U23 Asian Cup, wearing white, U23 Vietnam created a miracle when defeating U23 Qatar to reach the final match of this tournament for the first time in history.
At the Asian Games, U23 Vietnam made a miracle in this tournament when defeating Syria in the quarter-finals. More notably, at the AFF Cup 2008, the tournament considered the pinnacle of Vietnamese football, the Vietnam team also wore white shirts to win the championship.
But that does not mean that the Vietnamese team lacks confidence against the Philippines. Before the match, coach Park Hang-seo said: "'Eriksson is a world-class coach. However, that does not mean that Vietnam should be afraid of his Philippines in tomorrow's match. We have prepared carefully and will play our best. Tomorrow is an away match so things will not be easy. We will try to get a favorable result."./
