This March, with numerous friendly matches and World Cup 2018 qualifiers taking place, the rankings of teams in the upcoming FIFA rankings are expected to see many changes.
The next FIFA rankings will be announced on April 9th. This ranking will be particularly important for teams in Asia as it will be used as the basis for seeding in the second round of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers in the Asian region.
If Vietnam maintains its 16th position in Asia, it will be placed in group two and will likely avoid some strong opponents in the second round of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers in the Asian region.
