Vietnam National Team postpones announcement of roster, finalizes training match schedule in Korea
Because the 26th round of the 2018 V.League has been adjusted and will be played on October 8, the list of players for the Vietnam National Team will be announced by Head Coach Park Hang-seo on October 9. In addition, the team has also finalized the plan for 3 practice matches during the training session in Korea.
As reported, to prepare for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018, the Vietnam National Team will gather in Hanoi from October 11 with about 28-29 players. According to the plan, Coach Park Hang-seo will announce the selected outstanding players on October 8, that is, after the end of V.League 2018.
However, according to the latest announcement from the Tournament Executive Board, due to the coincidence with the funeral of former General Secretary Do Muoi with the State funeral ceremony on October 6 and 7, the 26th round will be held on October 8 instead of October 6 as previously scheduled, so the plan to announce the team list has also been adjusted to October 9.

In the first days of training, Coach Park Hang-seo could not have all the players called up because some players had to play for their clubs in the second leg of the semi-final (October 11) and the final of the 2018 National Cup (October 15). After this time, they could join the team.
According to the plan, the team will go to Paju Sports Center for training from October 16 to October 30. During the training here, Coach Park Hang-seo will have 3 practice matches to test the squad and playing style with the "blue troops" that have been identified, including 2 clubs currently playing in the K-League: Incheon United (October 22), Seoul FC (October 25) and 1 club in the K-League 2: Seoul E Land FC (October 29).
On October 30, Coach Park Hang-seo and his team will return to Vietnam to complete the final preparations and finalize the official list of 23 players before entering the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 campaign.
At the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018, the Vietnam national team will open the group stage with a trip to Laos on November 8 before returning home to host Malaysia on November 16. After that, coach Park Hang-seo and his team will visit Myanmar on November 20 and play the final group stage match at home against Cambodia on November 24.
