JICA2 project invests 30 billion to build 3 new bridges in Yen Thanh

The representative of the Northern Nghe An Irrigation System Restoration and Upgrade Project (JICA2) said: The three bridges include Yen Dinh Bridge in Duc Thanh Commune and two bridges in Ma Thanh Commune crossing Dao River and Vach Bac River. These bridges are all part of the canal investment project.

The survey shows that all three bridges were built before 1972 and are currently in serious disrepair, with high potential for traffic accidents. Therefore, the Japanese project has decided to invest in all three bridges.

Currently, the design approval of 3 bridges has been completed; construction is expected to start around June 2018 and be put into use by the end of 2019.

Currently, all three of the above-mentioned degraded bridges are still in use, with many overloaded vehicles still passing through every day, and the risk of the bridge collapsing can occur at any time. Therefore, before the bridge is invested in and built, local authorities and functional agencies need to have solutions to prohibit heavy vehicles from passing, ensuring the safety of people's lives./.
