Weather forecast for February 24: Temperature drops sharply, cold weather in the North

From February 24, the North will have widespread severe cold

Cold air has caused rain in many places in the Northern region, causing the temperature to drop by 3 - 4 degrees Celsius. The coastal provinces of the Central region have rain, showers and thunderstorms in some places. Particularly, the provinces from Quang Binh to Khanh Hoa, from this afternoon (February 24) have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places.

From today (February 24) to February 27, the North and North Central regions will experience widespread severe cold. According to forecasts, the lowest temperature during this severe cold spell in the plains and midlands of the North will be 10 - 13 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas about 3 - 6 degrees Celsius, with a level 1 natural disaster risk.

At sea, in the Gulf of Tonkin and the northern East Sea (including the waters of the Hoang Sa archipelago), there will continue to be strong winds of level 6, level 7, gusts of level 8, level 9, and rough seas.

The central East Sea area, the sea off the coast of the Central and Southern provinces has strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 7, level 8, rough seas, waves from 2 to 4 meters high, level 1 natural disaster risk.

Northwest: Rain, showers and thunderstorms in some places. Cold weather, severe cold in some places. Lowest temperature 11 - 14 degrees Celsius, in some places below 10 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 14 - 17 degrees Celsius, in some places above 18 degrees Celsius.

Northeast: Scattered rain and light rain. Cold weather. Lowest temperature 10 - 13 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas below 9 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 13 - 16 degrees Celsius.

Provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue: Rain, especially in the South in the afternoon and at night, with moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places. Cold weather, very cold in the North. Lowest temperature 12 - 15 degrees Celsius, in the South 14 - 17 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 14 - 17 degrees Celsius, in the South 17 - 20 degrees Celsius.

Provinces from Da Nang to Binh Thuan: In the North there will be scattered showers, in the South there will be rain in some places; in the provinces from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa there will be moderate rain at night, heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places.
