Deputy General Director of Hanoi Redtours Travel Company Nguyen Cong Hoan affirmed that it is difficult for tour prices to have promotional prices during the April 30 - May 1 period because normally, travel agencies have reduced prices to the maximum to attract customers, but during holidays and peak seasons, promotional prices are not applied. Some services even increase prices, so tour prices must be higher than during low seasons. "For example, a flight from Hanoi to Saigon, a ticket costs 6 million VND, Vietnam Airlines reduces it by half, to 3 million VND, the tour price is cheap, but during peak seasons, this unit no longer has promotions, so tour prices increase," Mr. Hoan shared.

Therefore, most travel experts believe that tourists should be wary of offers of cheap, super cheap or big promotional tours, but should look for reputable travel agencies to book tours to get the best service.

Mr. Nguyen Van My - Director of Lua Viet Travel Company said that it is impossible to reduce the price of tourism services during the holidays. In fact, if the tour price is cheap, the business will find a way to increase the surcharges at a very "expensive" price. In addition, cheap tours often have low service quality and lack of attentive service because they accept too many guests. Therefore, tourists should not be greedy for cheap tours during this big holiday if they do not want to waste money or have to accept service quality that is not as expected during their trip.

Island tourism continues to dominate

According to travel agencies, almost every year on the occasion of April 30 - May 1, island tours are in high demand, and this year is no exception. Destinations that attract tourists are Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Ha Long... because there are always festival events, summer programs or attractive beach openings. However, according to a representative of Hanoi Redtours, this year tourists tend to look for new destinations such as Tuy Hoa, Quy Nhon, Quang Binh... to avoid being overloaded or having high prices.
