Expected to question 2 sectors at the 6th session of the Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council issued Notice No. 104/TB-HĐND.TT, dated June 29, 2018, on convening the 6th session of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, 2016-2021.

The meeting is expected to be held for two and a half days, from July 18, 2018 to July 20, 2018 in Vinh city.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council will review and evaluate the implementation of the province's socio-economic development plan in the first 6 months of the year, tasks for the last 6 months of 2018; review the report on the work results in the first 6 months of the year, tasks for the last 6 months of 2018 of the Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Council Committees, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial People's Court, the Provincial People's Procuracy, the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Department and some related reports.

The meeting is also expected to consider and pass 20 resolutions on socio-economic and national defense and security in the province. Notably, the Resolution on socio-economic development tasks in the last 6 months of 2018; Resolution on strengthening state management of organizational structure, payroll, and labor contracts in state administrative agencies and public service units in the province in the coming time.

In addition, there are also a number of important resolutions, such as the Resolution on decentralization of decision-making authority in the management and use of public assets under local management in Nghe An province; Resolution on reward policies for collectives and individuals with high achievements in international and national competitions and awards prescribed by the province; Resolution on handling voters' petitions before, during and after the 5th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016-2021...

Based on the consideration of voters' opinions and recommendations as well as issues of public concern and proposals of the Provincial People's Council delegates; the question and answer session at the Provincial People's Council meeting is expected to question 4 contents under the advisory and state management responsibilities of the two sectors of Industry and Trade and Science and Technology.

Specifically, the questioning session aims to clarify the current situation, causes, responsibilities and solutions to solve existing problems regarding resettlement as well as stabilizing production and life of people in areas affected by hydropower projects in the province.

In addition, the questioning session also aimed to point out the current situation, causes, responsibilities and solutions for the work of handing over the management of the rural low-voltage power grid and returning the initial investment costs to organizations, units and people who have contributed, which is still slow; the power grid infrastructure in many places in the province has degraded, causing unsafety; the weak electricity situation, and the inappropriate electricity prices in some places have affected the daily life and production of the people.

It is also the current situation, causes, responsibilities and solutions to improve the effectiveness of applying the results of scientific research topics in real social life; the current situation, causes, responsibilities and solutions to promote the application of science and technology to promote increased labor productivity and the application of high technology to serve socio-economic development in the province in the coming time.

At this 6th session, the Provincial People's Council will also conduct personnel work and decide on a number of important issues under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.
