(Baonghean.vn) - It is expected that by December 31, 2021, the whole province will have 300/411 communes meeting new rural standards, 26 communes meeting advanced new rural standards; 2 communes meeting model new rural standards; 7 district-level units completing tasks/meeting new rural standards.

Director of Nghe An Department of Health: High risk of widespread Covid-19 outbreak
(Baonghean.vn) - Reporting at the meeting of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health emphasized that the risk of a widespread outbreak in the province is very high, while resources for disease prevention are increasingly limited.
At the November 2021 Provincial People's Committee meeting, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development presented the Draft Report on the implementation results of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in 2021 and the implementation plan for 2022.
By the end of 2020, the whole province had 280/411 communes meeting new rural standards, accounting for nearly 68.13%. There were 2 communes recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards, with an average income in rural areas of 34.44 million VND/person/year. There were 6 district-level units completing tasks/meeting new rural standards: Vinh City, Thai Hoa Town; Hoang Mai Town, and the districts of Yen Thanh, Nam Dan, and Nghi Loc.

Mr. Nguyen Van De - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development emphasized that in 2021, Nghe An province will carry out new rural construction in extremely difficult conditions. In particular, the weather, natural disasters, and epidemics are complicated. The central budget for development investment in 2021 has not been allocated. The communes registered to meet new rural standards in 2021 are mainly communes in mountainous districts.
The Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that by December 31, 2021, the whole province is expected to have 300/411 communes meeting new rural standards, an increase of 20 communes compared to 2020, achieving the target assigned by the Provincial People's Council Resolution. In addition, 26 communes have met advanced new rural standards; 2 communes have met model new rural standards; 7 district-level units have completed their tasks/met new rural standards.
The average income in rural areas is expected to be 34.5 million VND/person/year by the end of 2021. There are 213 products recognized as OCOP. The total capital mobilized in 2021 is 12,445,289 million VND.

Regarding the 3 pilot communes for building model new rural areas, up to now, Quynh Doi commune (Quynh Luu) has been recognized as a model new rural commune; Kim Lien commune (Nam Dan) is completing the dossier to submit to the province for appraisal; Son Thanh commune (Yen Thanh)has achieved 19/19 criteria according to advanced rural areas and has been assessed by the province.
Regarding the results of the implementation of the Project to build Nam Dan district into a model new rural district, Mr. Nguyen Van De said that the new rural criteria at the commune and district levels were consolidated and improved; 18/18 communes maintained the new rural commune status, and 1 commune was recognized as a commune meeting advanced new rural standards.
The material and spiritual life of the people in Nam Dan district has been significantly improved, the appearance of the countryside and the landscape and environment have improved a lot. In 3 years, Nam Dan district has mobilized 1,986.6 billion VND to implement the contents of the Project.
Implementing the One Commune One Product Program for the period 2018-2020 (OCOP Program), up to now, the whole province has 113 OCOP products recognized, of which 26 products have achieved 4 stars and 82 products have achieved 3 stars. It is expected that by the end of 2021, there will be 100 more products evaluated and classified as OCOP.

Mr. Nguyen Van De said that by the end of 2022, the province will strive to have 10 more communes meeting new rural standards, bringing the total number of communes meeting the standards in the province to 310/411 communes, equivalent to 75.42% of the total number of communes in the province. There will be 22 more communes meeting advanced new rural standards, bringing the total number of communes meeting advanced new rural standards in the province to 48/310 communes, equivalent to 15.48%.
Four more communes have met the new rural model standards, bringing the total number of communes meeting the new rural model standards in the province to seven. Two more districts have met the new rural standards, bringing the total number of district-level units meeting the new rural standards to nine. The average income in rural areas by the end of 2021 is expected to reach 35.5 million VND/person/year.
