Vietnam's beach tourism is the cheapest in the world.
The Dutch travel website Travelbird recently conducted a survey on the cost of staying at 250 beaches in 66 countries worldwide. The results showed that Vietnamese beaches topped the list of cheapest options, based on the cost of food, drinks, sunscreen, and more.

All four top-ranked beaches are in Vietnam: Cua Dai Beach in Hoi An, Ho Coc Beach in Vung Tau, Nha Trang Beach, and Bai Dai Beach in Phu Quoc.
Cua Dai Beach impressed Travelbird with its incredibly low cost. Specifically, tourists only have to spend an average of $13.54 for a relaxing day there. This includes a tube of sunscreen for $2.01, a bottle of mineral water for 5 cents, beer for $2.09, ice cream for 90 cents, and a lunch with drinks for $8.04.
Ho Coc Beach is also very cheap, costing around just over $14. The most expensive beach, Bai Dai Beach, only costs up to $15. The remaining 6 beaches in the top 10 cheapest beaches in the world are all in India.
Travelbird also published a list of the world's most expensive beaches. According to the list, La Plage de Maui, Tahiti, France, tops the list with an average cost of $54. In second place is Mareto Plage Publique, Moorea, also in France, with a cost of $53.
