(Baonghean.vn) - During the 2018 Lunar New Year holiday, Nghe An is expected to welcome about 290,800 visitors, with total revenue reaching over 45 billion VND.
Quick statistics from the Department of Tourism show that during the Tet holiday this year, tourist areas and spots in the province attracted thousands of visitors. The general assessment shows that the number of visitors tends to increase compared to 2017, mainly experiential tourists, spiritual tourists, and spring tourists.

Notably, many famous relic sites and scenic spots such as Kim Lien relic site are estimated to welcome about 4,297 groups and 198,422 visitors; Dai Tue Pagoda is estimated to welcome 50,000 visitors; Truong Bon historical relic site is estimated to welcome 121 groups and 6,914 visitors; Ong Hoang Muoi Temple is estimated to welcome 25,000 visitors; Quang Trung Temple is estimated to welcome 45 groups and 4,500 visitors; Ho Chi Minh Square is estimated to welcome 70 groups and 2,100 visitors (about 20,000 free visitors)...
Besides, many other tourist destinations also attract visitors to visit and have fun in the first days of the new year such as Con Cuong is expected to welcome more than 2,000 visitors, Nghia Dan is expected to welcome 1,500 visitors, Cua Lo is expected to welcome about 1,200 visitors...
Statistics on room occupancy rates of major hotels during the Lunar New Year show that the average rate is between 40% and 50%. Tourism business activities also achieved positive results. During the Tet holiday, travel agencies organized for 25 groups with a total of 500 guests (of which about 300 were international guests).
It is estimated that during the 2018 Lunar New Year holiday, the number of tourists in the province will reach about 290,800, of which over 39,000 will be overnight guests, equal to 121% compared to the same period in 2017, 1,162 will be international guests; total revenue from tourists will reach over 45 billion VND.
