Vietnam Tourism launches photo contest on "Endless Beauty"
Following five successful editions, the sixth National Tourism Art Photography Contest was officially launched this morning, January 11th, in Hanoi by Vietnam Tourism Magazine.
"Each photograph will be a promotional message for Vietnamese tourism."
With its nationwide scope, the competition promises to offer many fresh perspectives on culture, people, and landmarks from photographers across the country.
The organizers also encouraged photographers to create realistic works, getting closer to everyday life and experiencing regional differences to portray the most authentic portraits of Vietnam.
This is one of a series of activities undertaken by the tourism industry in 2013 to promote the image of Vietnam and its people.
The awards ceremony and exhibition are scheduled to take place in July 2013 to commemorate the 53rd anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam's tourism industry.
The submitted photographs can be color or black and white, must be single images (sets of photos are not accepted), there is no limit to the number of entries, photo sizes must be 30x40cm to 30x45cm, square photos must be 30x30cm, and panorama photos must have the longest side not exceeding 45cm. Each submitted image must be accompanied by a digital file saved on a CD or DVD, with a minimum dimension of 30cm and a resolution of 300dpi. The prize structure includes: 1 first prize worth 15 million VND and a Singapore travel coupon, a Gold Medal from the Association of Photographic Artists; 2 second prizes; 3 third prizes; and 5 consolation prizes. Entries should be sent to Vietnam Tourism Magazine (30A Ly Thuong Kiet, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi) or the Creative and Exhibition Committee - Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (51 Tran Hung Dao, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi) by May 31, 2013. |
