The purchase price depends on the time, after deducting costs, people earn from 100-150 million VND/ha. In particular, the cucumber variety here is a local grass cucumber variety, which is grown by the people themselves. The fruit is not as big as the high-yield cucumber variety, but it is crispy, sweet and fragrant, so it is very popular with consumers.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dang - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Anh Son district said that this year's winter cucumber crop was a big success; showing that farmers are increasingly mastering cultivation techniques as well as proactively applying science to production. The district also encourages people to expand the area on fertile land, hilly land, and rice fields to develop the winter vegetable area in general and the melon growing area in particular.
At the same time, local authorities focus on planning to ensure practical requirements and avoid imbalances in supply and demand. Thereby, increasing income per unit area, while coordinating with specialized sectors to transfer technology to help people increase their income and develop household economy.
