Bringing drugs to a wedding

On January 11, Lieutenant Colonel Dang Van Hieu, Deputy Head of the Investigation Police Department, Que Phong District Police (Nghe An), said that the unit had just arrested a subject for illegally storing drugs.

Accordingly, at around 10:45 a.m. on January 11, the Que Phong District Police working group was on duty in Dong Van Commune when they received a report from the people that a male subject, about 24 years old, had committed the crime of illegal possession of drugs. Using their expertise, the police verified and discovered a subject as described. Immediately, detectives surrounded and examined the subject.

Upon inspection, the task force discovered a blue plastic bag containing white powder, suspected to be drugs, in the right pocket of the subject. After confiscating the evidence, the subject was taken to Dong Van commune headquarters for questioning.

Here, the subject Sam Van Tuat (born in 1993), residing in Chau Kim commune, Que Phong district, confessed. At around 8:10 am, Tuat went from his house to Muong Mun village (Muong Nooc commune) to buy drugs and then continued to take a bus to Dong Van commune to attend the wedding of a relative. When Tuat was standing on the side of the road, he was suddenly checked and arrested by the police. Through the inspection process, it was determined that the white substance that Tuat was carrying was heroin, weighing 0.56g.

Currently, Que Phong District Police are continuing to investigate the case.
