(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 31st, under the chairmanship of Provincial Party Secretary Ho Duc Phoc, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee continued its work program to evaluate the results of the tasks performed in the 2013-2014 school year and discuss the tasks for the 2014-2015 school year.
Also participating were comrades Tran Hong Chau – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Quang Huy – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and representatives of leaders from provincial departments and agencies.

At the meeting, based on the report on the results of the 2013-2014 school year presented by Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and representatives of several departments and agencies discussed and focused on evaluating the overall quality of education in the province during the past school year. Accordingly, the quality of advanced education, with the number of excellent students and students achieving high scores in university entrance exams, has steadily developed. Educational management continues to be reformed; the socialization of education has yielded some significant results; attention has been paid to caring for students in mountainous areas and ethnic minority regions, especially the establishment of several boarding school models for students from ethnic minority communities.
Party building and political and ideological education in schools continued to receive attention. During the 2013-2014 school year, schools admitted 1,189 teachers and students. In addition, members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee also discussed several shortcomings in the province's education and training sector. These included slow progress in building national standard schools, a lack of decisive leadership in some localities, limited management of universities, colleges, and vocational schools, an unreasonable school network planning resulting in a shortage of schools and classrooms, and a lack of effective solutions to address the surplus of teachers.

Concluding the discussion on education, Provincial Party Secretary Ho Duc Phoc requested the Education and Training sector to focus on developing and implementing projects to carry out Resolution 26 of the Politburo, aiming to make Nghe An a regional education and training center in the North Central region; and the action program to implement Resolution 29 of the 8th Plenum of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam on fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training. The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized the need to continue improving the quality of comprehensive and advanced education at all levels; enhancing the quality of English and computer science teaching in schools; and focusing on political and ideological education, ethics, lifestyle, and life skills training for students. He also stressed the importance of promoting the socialization of education, accelerating the construction of national standard schools; prioritizing the development of education in mountainous areas, continuing to pay attention to boarding and semi-boarding facilities; and implementing the project to develop Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School into a key school. Building a team of high-quality teachers who serve as role models for students. Strengthening career guidance and vocational training for students. At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee heard a report from Comrade Le Xuan Dai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on the results of implementing Conclusion No. 08/KL-TU, dated May 14, 2012, of the Provincial Party Committee on promoting administrative reform and improving the capacity and efficiency of state management; and the draft plan to improve the quality of "one-stop" and "integrated one-stop" services in a modern direction at state administrative agencies, giai đoạn 2014 – 2020.

After listening to the discussions of the members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Ho Duc Phoc emphasized: The tasks in the coming period need to focus on reviewing and fully completing the administrative procedures to ensure uniformity and consistency from the provincial level to the grassroots. Reviewing the organizational structure to ensure it is streamlined, avoiding overlapping functions and omissions. Strengthening the issuance of high-quality regulatory documents. Continuing to improve the quality of cadres and civil servants according to job titles and specialization; managing the recruitment of cadres and civil servants, linking it with increased responsibility and the mechanism of autonomy and accountability in recruitment. Promoting the application of information technology. Strengthening supervision, inspection, and auditing of administrative reform and the handling of administrative procedures, while strictly handling cases of violations. Focus on assigning responsible officials to carry out work at "one-stop shops" and "integrated one-stop shops," while enhancing the accountability of heads of departments in administrative procedure reform.
