Bodies of 2 Nghe An workers who died in Laos cannot be brought home yet
(Baonghean.vn) - At noon on January 12, relatives of the two workers who died in the scaffolding collapse in Laos were still waiting at La Lay International Border Gate (Quang Tri) to receive the coffins carrying the two bodies back home.
As reported, on the morning of January 11, Mr. Tuan and Mr. Thai were working at the Muong Khong Hydropower Plant (Laos) when the scaffolding collapsed and they died.
A Vietnamese woman who came to pay her respects knew that Tuan and Thai were in difficult circumstances and that the cost of hiring a car to transport their coffins from the church in Bac Xe district (Champa Sac province, Laos) to La Lay International Border Gate (Quang Tri) was very high, so she lent her car to transport the coffins and their belongings to the border gate.
Although relatives of the two workers hired a car to go to La Lay International Border Gate, due to procedures, they could not take the car to Bac Xe district to transport the bodies and had to wait at the border gate, receive and then bring the bodies back to their hometown./.
