Given the current situation of many items ofLach Quen fishing port, Quynh Thuan commune, Quynh Luu districtDue to severe deterioration making it difficult for local fishermen's boats to dock, Nghe An province has been implementing a project to upgrade and expand Lach Quen fishing port since the beginning of 2022.

The project is invested by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, with funding from the central government and investment from Nghe An province in the construction of fisheries service infrastructure according to Decision 56/QD-TTg, dated August 8, 2019, of the Prime Minister.

The Lạch Quèn fishing port upgrade and expansion project has completed the following items: Upgrading, expanding, and constructing new mooring berths; upgrading and expanding the port berths by approximately 564m in length and 1.5m in width; constructing new piers approximately 45m long and 15m wide; and constructing 11 seafood storage facilities (100m wide).²/home).

Currently, the project is carrying out the dredging of silt and sand along a 1km stretch in the Lach Quen fishing port area, achieving over 95% of the required volume.

It is known that the Lach Quen fishing port in Quynh Thuan commune, Quynh Luu district, has long faced many shortcomings such as overcrowding of boats and insufficient mooring space, and the silting of the fishing port making it very difficult for people to operate.fisheries logistics servicesThe comprehensive investment in the Lach Quen fishing port will create favorable conditions for 500-700 boats to have a safe place to anchor and take shelter from storms.
