During the peak fishing season in Nghe An, boats – especially large ones – are facing many difficulties due to serious siltation at fishing ports and anchorages.

Although it is the peak fishing season, many fishermen in Nghe An are facing difficulties as the waterways leading to fishing ports and anchorages are silted up, causing many boats to run aground.

Nghe An currently has about 3,400 large and small boats; however, there is a lack of boat mooring areas and shallow channels that do not meet the needs of fishermen, especially during the rainy and stormy season.
