Making up story about child being abused by father to call for support

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chief of Bu Dop District Police, Binh Phuoc Province informed about the results of the investigation and verification of the case of a 2-month-old baby suspected of being abused by his biological father, which was shared on social media, causing a stir in public opinion. The verification results showed that the information posted was false in order to mobilize support money from benefactors.

Previously, on May 17, upon receiving the information, Bu Dop District Police proceeded to verify the incident. During the investigation, the child named LGB (born March 17, 2020) suffered a broken right leg due to her father LVS accidentally stepping on her. Due to not having money to treat her child, Ms. LTT (B's biological mother) intentionally misrepresented the incident, saying that the child was abused by her own father and asked Ms. PTMC to post the information on social media to call for support from the online community.

False information that B was abused by his own father has outraged public opinion.

Accepting to help her friend, Ms. C used the accounts "Mong Cam PT" and "Thuy Nabi" to post information and the account number of her mother, Ms. TTN, to raise money for support.

Currently, Bu Dop District Police are consolidating the case file to handle T. and related people according to the provisions of law.
