Using sensitive clip to blackmail 67-year-old lover

On February 9, the Investigation Police Agency of Uong Bi City Police (Quang Ninh) announced that it had issued a criminal detention order for Vu Thi Loan (46 years old, residing in Thong Nhat village, Dong Tho commune, Thai Binh city, Thai Binh) for the act of extortion.

The investigation results showed that since 2010, Vu Thi Loan and Mr. Truong Tien Q. (67 years old, residing in Quang Hanh ward, Cam Pha city, Quang Ninh) had feelings for each other and had a sexual relationship. In January 2018, due to a conflict, Vu Thi Loan used a trick to use her phone to record the relationship between the two of them, then forced Mr. Q. to transfer money to her twice or she would post the sensitive clip of the two of them on social media.

Fearing the above threat, Mr. Q. transferred 15 million VND to Loan twice. Not stopping there, on February 7, Loan continued to force Mr. Q. to transfer 10.5 million VND to spend.

However, the victim went to the Uong Bi City Police to report the incident. Seeing that Mr. Q. agreed to hand over the money, Loan arranged to meet him at Zone 6, Quang Trung Ward (Uong Bi City). While Loan was receiving the money from Mr. Q., she was caught red-handed by the police.

Initially, Vu Thi Loan admitted to her act of extortion. Currently, the Uong Bi City Police Department is completing the case file to handle the case according to the law./.
