Stop nominating Vietnamese representatives to participate in Miss Universe from 2023
On February 18, Unicorp announced that it will continue to organize the Miss Universe Vietnam contest but will stop cooperating in copyright to nominate Vietnamese representatives to participate in Miss Universe.
Saigon Universe Joint Stock Company (Unicorp) is the owner of the Miss Universe Vietnam brand, having organized the Miss Universe contest in 2008, Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 and 2017. Since 2019, Unicorp has granted the right to Universe Media Vietnam Company Limited (UniMedia) to organize the Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 and 2022 contests.
Unicorp and UniMedia are currently continuing to plan and prepare for the launch phase of the Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 contest, with the final round expected to take place later this year.
Since 2008, Unicorp has held the copyright to nominate Vietnamese representatives to participate in Miss Universe. In addition to organizing the Miss Universe Vietnam contest, UniMedia also produces reality TV shows, trains, educates and sends Vietnamese representatives to participate in Miss Universe.

However, Unicorp said that the Miss Universe organization now has a new owner from Thailand and after careful consideration, it has decided to temporarily suspend cooperation in holding the copyright to nominate a Vietnamese representative to participate in Miss Universe from 2023.
This unit will focus entirely on organizing the Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 contest and continue to implement strategies to develop the Miss Universe Vietnam brand and orient cooperation with beauty queens, runners-up, and beauties.
Information about organizing the Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 contest and launching new projects this year will be officially announced by Unicorp and Unimedia in the near future.
