North-South trains passing through Nghe An and many flights stopped to avoid storm Noru
(Baonghean.vn) - Trains SE5 and SE6 departing from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Nghe An have temporarily stopped operating today, September 27, to avoid storm Noru. At the same time, some flights from Vinh to provinces and cities directly affected by the storm have also been temporarily suspended due to the closure of these airports.
Information fromVinh Railway Transport StationOn September 27, Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company decided to temporarily suspend the Thong Nhat SE5/SE6 passenger trains on the North-South route to ensure passenger safety due to the impact of storm No. 4 (storm Noru).

Mr. Cao Ngoc Tuan - Head of Vinh Railway Transport Station said: "Train SE5 departing from Hanoi station and train SE6 departing from Saigon station both stopped operating on September 27, both of these trips pass through Vinh City. Passengers with tickets for the train on the day the train stops running should contact the station directly to get their tickets refunded free of charge. Other trains will still operate normally on September 27".
In addition, from October 2, Vietnam Railways will stop running the SE35/SE36 train pair between Hanoi and Vinh, because the number of passengers does not meet operating requirements.
InVinh airportAccording to the reporter's records on the morning of September 27, flights to and from Vinh City from localities not affected by the storm are still operating normally. However, because a number of airports across the country have stopped operating to avoid the storm, flights from Vinh to these airports have been temporarily suspended.
Specifically, there are currently 5 airports nationwide that have temporarily stopped receiving flights to avoid the storm, including: Chu Lai airport (Quang Nam) temporarily stopped receiving flights from 7:00 a.m. on September 27 to 6:59 a.m. on September 28.
Da Nang, Phu Bai (Thua Thien Hue), Phu Cat (Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh), Pleiku (Gia Lai) airports will temporarily stop receiving aircraft from 12:00 on September 27 to 11:59 on September 28, 2022.
Therefore, flights from Vinh to the above destinations are temporarily suspended during the announced time frame.

Mr. Hoang Van Thu - Director of Vinh Airport said: According to forecasts, Nghe An is not located in the eye of storm Noru, so it will not be closed like other airports and will continue to serve passengers on September 27, but flights to temporarily closed airports will have to be temporarily suspended.
"After the storm makes landfall, the storm's circulation is expected to bring heavy rain and strong winds in Nghe An, so depending on the weather, we will temporarily stop accepting flights for a certain period of time tomorrow (September 28)," Mr. Thu emphasized.
Previously, to proactively respond to storm No. 4, ensure safety of flights, people and property at airports, and minimize negative impacts on flight operations, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam issued a dispatch requesting 24/7 on-duty; strictly implementing the storm and tropical depression response procedures in civil aviation activities./.
