Build huts, dig mountains to open roads to remote villages
(Baonghean.vn) - In recent days, thousands of people in Tuong Duong and Quy Chau districts have participated in digging mountains to open roads to extremely difficult areas.

In Tuong Duong district, from March 2 until now, thousands of people have participated in digging mountains and opening roads from San village to Con Phen village, Huu Khuong commune.
This campaign was led by the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district, and mobilized more than 700 people in the whole Huu Khuong commune to participate in opening 7.5 km of forest road. It is worth mentioning that during the implementation process, most of the people had to bring rice, water, blankets to set up tents and stay on the spot during the days of road opening.
It is expected that this campaign will end on March 6. People can travel by motorbike on the road from San village to Con Phen village. From here, people in some villages of Huu Khuong commune can use motorbikes to go to the district center by road via the Ban San - Yen Tinh - road and Hoa Binh town.

Huu Khuong commune has 7 villages, 600 households, more than 2,000 people with 3 ethnic groups living there including: Thai, Kho Mu and Mong. Mr. Vi Tan Hoi, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Tuong Duong district, who was assigned the responsibility of being the General Manager in charge of this campaign, said: "This is the most difficult commune in Nghe An province at present. Many villages in the commune do not have roads, electricity grid, telephone signal and water works... Therefore, the campaign to build roads for this commune is extremely necessary at this time."

On the morning of March 4, Quy Chau District Youth Union also held a ceremony to launch Youth Month and start a practical district-level youth project to celebrate the 87th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, nearly 200 Youth Union members of 3 communes in the lower region including Chau Binh, Chau Hoi and Chau Nga commune, affiliated Youth Union branches, people of Lau 1 village together with the District Youth Union repaired, leveled the road surface, cleared the traffic safety corridor of the inter-village road of Lau 1 village, Chau Binh commune with a total length of nearly 500m.
