The suspension of the broadcast of the movie "Quynh Doll" on VTV1's prime time slot has left the station with a significant economic loss.

"Quynh Doll" was stopped from broadcasting, leaving a huge loss for the station.

According to data on VTV's advertising website, the advertising price for a 30-second block in the movie "Quynh Doll" is 100 million, 25 million more than other movies in the same time slot on VTV1 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. That means the decision to temporarily stop broadcasting the movie could cause VTV to reduce advertising revenue during prime time for feature films on VTV1.

Not to mention, most brands and businesses have very strict advertising contracts with the TV station in advance. In case there is no consensus between the two parties, VTV can be considered to have unilaterally terminated the contract, and must compensate for losses based on the signed terms.

Not only that, the average cost for each episode of VFC is 200 million. If “Quynh Doll” is officially “sentenced to death”, with 30 episodes, the station will lose about 6 billion VND in investment costs.

In addition, the dedication of the actors and film crew put into "Quynh Doll" both physically and mentally is immeasurable.

Some controversial scenes in "Quynh Doll".

On the afternoon of July 10, VTV officially posted information about temporarily stopping broadcasting “Quynh Doll” in the 8:45 pm time slot on VTV1 from July 12, replacing it with the TV series “Happiness is not at the end of the road”.

“Quynh Doll” is a film about prostitution - a social evil that has never ceased to be a pain in the ass. Right from the first episode, the film caused a lot of controversy because of its violent and hot scenes that were too bold and realistic.

Due to the strong reaction from the audience, VTV was forced to give the film an 18+ rating. However, many viewers still believe that the film is too sensitive to be shown during VTV1's prime time slot.
