Using a crane to rob a construction site like in an action movie

The group of masked men used knives to control and tie up the construction site security guard, then brought a crane to take away 2 rolls of electric cable weighing about 6 tons. The incident only lasted about 15 minutes.

The incident took place at around 00:15 today (March 9) at the material storage area for power line construction at the central axis road project of Me Linh new urban area (Tien Phong commune, Me Linh district, Hanoi). The stolen material warehouse belongs to the contractor, Nha X4 Joint Stock Company.

According to the account of the two security guards on duty, at the time mentioned above, they were in the shack watching the construction site and construction materials (gathering poles and electric wires). Suddenly, three masked men rushed in and used knives to control and tie them up. These subjects also used tape to tightly wrap their mouths and covered the faces of the two security guards with scarves.

The group then called a crane to the yard and took away two rolls of medium voltage electric cable; each roll weighed about 3 tons (total value about 500 million VND). The incident only lasted about 15 minutes.

About 30 minutes after the group escaped, two guards cut the ropes and went to Tien Phong commune police to report the incident.

The material gathering area is located in the middle of an open field, about 100m from a residential area. It is known that these guards were hired by the contractor from a security service company in Hanoi. Currently, the police of Tien Phong commune and Me Linh district are urgently investigating the incident.
