Kicked teammates out of the room to have sex

Oliveira caused a scandal when he kicked his teammate out of the room.

The incident happened at the 2016 Olympic Athletes Village in Rio, Brazil. To have some privacy with Pedro Goncalves, a fellow canoeist, Oliveira "invited" his teammate Pedroso to temporarily leave the common room.

Oliveira and Pedroso, who shared a room during the Olympics, also formed a pair in the women's 1m platform diving event.

Perhaps due to the influence of the "cloud and rain" period, Oliveira could no longer maintain the highest concentration for the tournament. In the competition, this female pair ranked last.

Frustrated by poor performance and conflicts stemming from Oliveira's sexual relationship, Pedroso has just decided to separate.

“While I had to wait four years to compete in the Olympics, she considered her own pleasure more important and threw me out of the room, to spend many nights with her lover. I talked to my coach. I will focus on my own achievements. It is good to no longer depend on someone,” Pedroso shared on August 14.

Speaking to the press, Oliveira also admitted the scandal: “We had a fight and no longer speak to each other. From today, I will not compete with Pedroso anymore.”

It’s no secret that athletes are having sex during the Olympics. Many are having sex regularly. According to the Sun, Rio 2016 organisers have distributed around 450,000 condoms to ensure the safety of sports stars during their fun moments.

Oliveira and Pedroso will not play together in the future.
