The Hanoi - Vinh crystal meth ring of two women

(Baonghean,vn)- Vinh City Police have just arrested two subjects for illegal drug trafficking; seized 500 grams of drugs and more than 1 billion VND in drug money.

Previously, at 12:30 p.m. on April 14, after receiving a report from the public that a woman suspected of hiding drugs rented a taxi with license plate 30T.0293 of Chien Thang Company from Hanoi to Vinh City, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team (Vinh City Police) conducted an investigation and verification.

When the taxi carrying the subject appeared at the Hoang Mai toll station (Hoang Mai town), the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Vinh City Police requested to stop the vehicle for inspection and discovered on the subject Dinh Thi Kim Oanh, born in 1963, residing in Pho Hue ward (Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi) hiding 500g of crystal meth and 03 mobile phones.

At the police station, Dinh Thi Kim Oanh confessed to bringing the above amount of crystal meth from Hanoi to Vinh to sell to Nham Thi Binh, born in 1972, residing in Vinh Quang block, Dong Vinh ward for 160 million VND.

Based on the suspect's testimony, the police conducted an emergency search of the house of Nham Thi Binh in Vinh Quang block, Dong Vinh ward (Vinh city) and seized 890 million VND, the amount used to buy and sell drugs, and 03 mobile phones.

Initially, the two subjects confessed to all their crimes. It is known that Dinh Thi Kim Oanh and Nham Thi Binh had previous convictions for illegal drug trafficking and prostitution brokerage.

The case is currently being investigated by Vinh City Police.
