(Baonghean.vn) - 16.2 km long with a total investment of 196 billion VND are impressive figures for the road from Coi village to Ca Moong village in Luong Minh commune (Tuong Duong). However, the project has stopped construction for more than a year. This makes the desire for a road of Ca Moong villagers become distant. The biggest role that this unfinished road is serving is serving the people to herd goats and cows.
The road from Coi village to Ca Moong was constructed from the budget of Nghe An province since 2013 and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2015. This will be a level 6 rural road with a road width of 7.5 m, to meet the needs of Ca Moong village, which is an on-site resettlement area under the relocation of the Ban Ve Hydropower project. |
However, up to now, only a part of the road has been leveled. There is still a stretch of nearly 2 km that has not been leveled. This section is located on the forestry land of some households in Coi village. |
Over time, through sun and rain, many sections that had been leveled collapsed again. |
Although it is still unfinished, for the people in Coi and Ca Moong villages, this is still an important residential road. |
Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, Vice Chairman of Tuong Duong District People's Committee, said that the main reason is the small amount of investment capital. |
Many construction machines are still exposed to the sun and dew along the roadside. From the outside, some of the machines look like scrap. |
The road workers' camp also collapsed. |
Currently, the road has disbursed nearly 60 billion VND. It is expected to be open to traffic by June 2016. |
At present, the new road only serves the herding of goats, buffaloes and cows... for the people of Coi village. |
The road, when completed, is not only the desire of Ca Moong village, but also the people of Coi and Ve villages in Yen Na commune will benefit greatly from this project. Mr. Nguyen Van Hai said that the local government is looking to request funding from the 30A program to invest in completing the road. |
