(Baonghean.vn) - During his life and revolutionary career, President Ho Chi Minh drafted many important historical documents. One of the historical documents that paved the way for the Vietnamese revolution was the work “The Revolutionary Path”.

Exactly 90 years ago, in early 1927, the work “The Revolutionary Path” was compiled and published for the first time by Uncle Ho in Guangzhou (China). This book is a collection of some of his lecture outlines from early 1925, which were developed and further elaborated when he explained to cadres in political training classes in Guangzhou. The book was published by the Propaganda Department of the Association of Oppressed Peoples in East Asia and was printed by Uncle Ho himself in a modified national language font.

In the “Preface”, He stated the purpose of the book as: 1. Why do we have to make a revolution if we want to live?; 2. Why is revolution a common task for the entire people, not just one or two people; 3. Using the revolutionary history of other countries as an example for us to look at; 4. Using the world movement to clearly tell our compatriots; 5. Who are our friends? Who are our enemies?; 6. How should we make a revolution?

The book has truly left an impression and had a strong positive impact on many generations of revolutionaries in our country from the past to the present. Reading the book, we deeply understand the reminder from our predecessors: "Without revolutionary theory, there is no revolutionary movement..." (Lenin).

The content of the work “The Revolutionary Path” is extremely rich and attractive because of its reality and specificity. The book clearly shows everyone the concepts of bourgeois revolution, proletarian revolution and national liberation revolution.

He determined: The Vietnamese revolution is a revolution to liberate the nation. The immediate task is to overthrow the colonial invaders and their feudal lackeys. The revolutionary forces are the oppressed people, of which the workers and peasants are the main forces.

At the same time, he stated: To make a revolution, one must firmly grasp Marxism-Leninism to better understand the world situation; to know how to compare the balance of power between us and the enemy; to have correct strategies, tactics and revolutionary methods; to grasp opportunities, to know how to gather and unite the masses.

In particular, right from that time, once again, he affirmed that: To make a revolution to gain victory, first of all, there must be a revolutionary Party armed with Marxist-Leninist theory. To determine the right path for the revolution of our country, he brought up the lessons of the American, French, Russian revolutions... and emphasized: We must learn from the experiences of those revolutions. In particular, we must pay attention to learning from the successful experiences of the Russian October Revolution.

Based on the analysis and comparison of the history of the First International, Second International and Third International, he pointed out: The Vietnamese revolution is an integral part of the world revolution, under the direction of the Third International (Communist International).

With his practical experience and far-sighted vision, he introduced in detail the history of international women, international workers, international youth...; introduced how to organize trade unions, farmers' associations... and argued that: The Vietnamese Revolution must also organize mass organizations such as trade unions, women's organizations, youth... according to the guidelines and methods of the Communist International...

He taught that, to be a revolutionary, one must: "Be frugal, peaceful but not selfish; be determined to correct one's mistakes; be careful but not timid; ask questions, be patient; study well; consider; be impartial; not be greedy for fame or arrogance; do what one says; maintain a firm ideology; make sacrifices; have little desire for material things...". "Towards people, one must: Be tolerant with each individual; be strict with the group; have a heart to teach people...". "To work, one must: Carefully consider the situation; be decisive."

His teachings above clearly show us that: A person's personality is not only considered in human-human relationships, but also includes people and work, and people with themselves, meaning paying attention to both qualities and abilities and the inner world (psychology).

Also based on his teachings, once again, we need to emphasize that, to be a revolutionary, to be considered a servant of the people, one must first of all be a person with good moral character: patriotic, compassionate, responsible to family and community, thrifty, studious, hard-working, sacrificial, pure, exemplary in personal life, close to the masses...

“The Revolutionary Path” not only brought to Vietnamese revolutionary soldiers in the 1920s and 1930s the core issues of Marxism-Leninism and the ideological light of the times, but until now, the specific content of “The Revolutionary Path” still retains its topicality regarding the issues of the nation and the times.

It can be affirmed that: “The Revolutionary Path” is one of the works containing ideas that have been proven correct in practice. That is what creates a strong vitality that transcends time, has the power to motivate and encourage the revolutionary activities of millions of people...

The glorious victories of our nation in the cause of national liberation, the achievements of historical significance in recent years all originate from and are built on the revolutionary and scientific theoretical values of the work “The Revolutionary Path”. The highly convincing revolutionary ideas of the work also have the effect of encouraging and educating generations of youth and the masses to actively participate in the revolutionary cause of the nation.
