Van Xuan Street was temporarily repaired following reports from Nghe An Newspaper and radio and television.
Following reports by Nghe An newspapers, radio, and television about the serious deterioration and potential traffic accident risks on Van Xuan road, authorities have mobilized machinery and personnel to carry out temporary repairs.
In recent days, along the Van Xuan road (35-meter road), numerous construction machines and equipment have been mobilized to address serious damage. Authorities are scraping away the uneven and deformed asphalt concrete, then compacting and leveling the road surface to restore smoothness and minimize the risk of traffic accidents.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Truong, Director of the Road Maintenance Management Board of the Nghe An Department of Construction, said: Following reports from Nghe An Newspaper, radio and television, and the public about the deteriorating condition of Van Xuan road, the unit has directed the mobilization of vehicles and personnel to accelerate the construction progress of repair items. The goal is to strive to complete the work by the end of December 2025, in order to ensure safe conditions for people and vehicles traveling on this road with high traffic density.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Truong also stated that the projects currently underway are only temporary repairs aimed at addressing immediate areas of deterioration. To date, the Van Xuan road still lacks an official project for comprehensive renovation and upgrading. In the long term, the unit will coordinate with relevant departments, agencies, and localities to advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider including the Van Xuan road project in the medium-term public investment plan, providing a legal basis for allocating resources and implementing investment systematically in the future.
Along with road surface repairs, Mr. Truong emphasized the need to strengthen coordination between functional agencies and local authorities in managing and controlling vehicle load limits. Strictly addressing the issue of oversized and overloaded vehicles circulating on the route is considered a key solution to limit the risk of road surface degradation and ensure long-term traffic order and safety.

Previously, Nghe An's newspapers and radio and television stations published articles reflecting the situation of "Van Xuan Road is in serious disrepair, and accidents are occurring frequently.", attracting public attention.
In reality, a series of traffic accidents have occurred on this road, raising an alarm about the serious level of traffic safety. The road surface is damaged and has long stretches of ruts, while the volume of heavy trucks is increasing, making traffic on this road a constant nightmare for residents.

Van Xuan Road (35m wide) is an important transportation route connecting National Highway 46A with the Lam River embankment road. It is over 8 km long, with a total investment of 62.7 billion VND. The project was invested in by the People's Committee of Vinh City (formerly) and implemented in phases due to funding difficulties. Phase 1 of the project was carried out from 2016, completed and put into use in 2018.
