At approximately 8:00 AM, a group of workers were assigned to install exterior glass on a 7-story building at 70 Nguyen Bieu Street (District 5, Ho Chi Minh City). Four people and their equipment were lifted to the top by a hoisting system. Upon reaching the 6th floor, the hoisting cable suddenly snapped, causing the four workers and their equipment to fall freely from a height of over 30 meters to the ground.

A security guard and two civilians, including a young man sitting and drinking coffee near the construction site, were struck by a falling crane. All the workers and victims below suffered very serious injuries. The scene was littered with blood. The victims were taken to Cho Ray Hospital and the Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital.

According to a volunteer from Team 1, who was having coffee with the victim, they were chatting happily when suddenly the massive axle collapsed onto the coffee shop, crushing the Attila motorbike. He was lucky to escape unharmed, while his friend was knocked unconscious on the spot, and the shop owner panicked, screaming and running across the street.

The area around Nguyen Bieu Street surrounding the scene has been cordoned off, and authorities are conducting a scene investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
