Duy Manh and Hai Long recreate historic moments of Vietnamese football
Two golden moments in the history of Vietnamese football at the 2018 U23 Asia and the 2024 ASEAN Cup were recreated by Do Duy Manh and Nguyen Hai Long at My Dinh Stadium within the framework of the T&T-SHB Cultural Festival on the evening of March 15.
With the theme “Steadfastly entering the new era”, SHB–T&T Cultural Festival 2025 gathered more than 15,000 participants, including officers and employees in the T&T Group and SHB systems, along with members of Hanoi Football Club and Thai Nguyen T&T Women's Football Club.

In 2018, after the U23 Asian Cup final in Changzhou (China), the image of Duy Manh planting the Vietnamese flag on the white snow was engraved in the hearts of millions of fans. On the evening of March 15, he recreated that emotional moment at My Dinh Stadium, amidst thunderous applause.
Six years later, another Hanoian, Hai Long, made a memorable achievement when he scored the winning goal in a 3-2 victory over Thailand in the final of the 2024 ASEAN Cup. Long's golden moment not only drowned Thailand's championship ambitions on foreign soil, but also brought a noble title to Vietnamese football.
Vietnam team has new jersey
On the morning of March 15, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in collaboration with Dong Luc Sports Group and the Jogarbola brand held a ceremony to launch the official uniform of the Vietnam national team in Ho Chi Minh City.
The new collection of the Vietnam team includes competition uniforms (traditional red and white), training uniforms (orange and blue), and travel and daily wear (polo shirts and suits).
Inspired by the resilient fighting spirit of the "Golden Star Warriors", the collection carries the message "Glory of Vietnam", expressing the desire for victory, national pride and the spirit of never giving up.
The design on the shirt is based on the image of overlapping mountain ranges, symbolizing an indomitable and resilient Vietnam.

The entire outfit uses high-quality Hydro-silk fabric, carefully manufactured according to Japanese technology standards, making the shirt soft, non-irritating to the skin, while maintaining optimal lightness, creating a comfortable feeling when moving and accelerating.
Jogarbola also launched HyperDry technology, which helps the fabric to quickly release moisture, evaporating sweat as soon as it touches the fabric surface.
In addition, the new jersey of the Vietnam team is also integrated with the Air Max air circulation feature, helping to maintain dryness, creating a cool feeling, ensuring stable performance throughout the match.
When asked about the quality of the new jerseys, the players of the Vietnamese men's, women's and futsal teams all expressed their satisfaction.
It is expected that the Vietnam team will use this new outfit in matches against Cambodia (friendly) and Laos (2027 Asian Cup qualifiers).
Man City were "sawed" by Brighton at home
On the night of March 15, Man City and Brighton will face off in round 29 of the 2024-2025 Premier League.
Despite playing away, Brighton started the game quickly and soon put the ball into Man City's net. However, Mitoma's goal was disallowed due to a previous foul.
Having escaped defeat, Man City regained control of the game and began to launch dangerous attacks. In the 11th minute, Marmoush was fouled by Webster in the penalty area and the referee immediately pointed to the penalty spot. On the 11m mark, Haaland made no mistake to open the scoring for the home team.

Brighton immediately pushed their squad to attack and quickly equalized. In the 21st minute, Estupinan took a free kick from 20 meters away, sending the ball into the Man City net with a beautiful curve.
Coach Pep Guardiola asked his players to push up the formation to find more goals. In the 39th minute, Marmoush received a pass from his teammate, controlled the ball for a moment and then fired a dangerous long-range shot, raising the score to 2-1 for Man City.
After the break, the two teams continued to play an attractive attacking game. In the 48th minute, from a free kick, Hinshelwood shot the ball close to the goal, the ball hit Khusainov and changed direction, flying into the net, helping Brighton tie the score 2-2.
Man City tried to attack in the rest of the match but could not score more goals. In the end, the two teams shared the points with a score of 2-2.
Sociedad calls MU's victory "disgraceful"
After a 1-4 defeat to Manchester United in the second leg of the Europa League round of 16, Real Sociedad posted an angry statement on their official website, accusing referee Benoit Bastien of favoring MU.
The article, titled "Too Much to Take," alludes to the injustice the Spanish team has suffered.

"It is unbelievable that such decisions can be made in European competition. This is an absolute disgrace," the statement said.
The Basque team accused the referee of giving MU two controversial penalties and giving Jon Aramburu a straight red card in the 50th minute.
Despite strong reactions from Sociedad, the final result remained unchanged. MU won 5-2 on aggregate and qualified for the Europa League quarter-finals.
Japanese striker has nightmare in France
Kyogo Furuhashi has yet to score a goal since joining Stade Rennes and faces the risk of being dropped from the long-term squad.
Furuhashi moved to Rennes for a fee of £10m in January, but after two months he has failed to establish himself as a regular starter.
Coach Habib Beye explained: "Kyogo has different skills compared to other strikers. He needs a suitable partner to maximize his flexible movement."

In the 1-4 loss to PSG, Furuhashi continued to sit on the bench and was only brought on for the last 10 minutes of the match, while 17-year-old player Kader Meite was in the starting lineup.
This shows that Furuhashi is not in the plans of coach Beye, who was appointed after the Japanese striker joined the team.
Previously, there were rumors that Furuhashi had a persistent shoulder injury from his time playing at Celtic, but coach Beye confirmed that his physical condition was not the reason why he rarely played.
