Following the success of her song "Continuing the Story of Peace," singer and vocal instructor Duyen Quynh shared about the changes in her career and her plans to pursue professional education.

Singer Duyen Quynh (born in 1990), widely known for her song "Continuing the Story of Peace," said she is planning to return to the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music to pursue a Master's degree. This is part of her career development plan to teach professional vocal music, alongside her performing arts activities.

A turning point from "Continuing the Story of Peace"

Duyen Quynh admitted that 2025 was a "life-changing" year thanks to the strong impact of her song "Continuing the Story of Peace." This success not only helped her gain more recognition from the audience but also brought her a packed performance schedule, significantly improving her life. "Thanks to the success of the song, I've become more well-known and gained more fans. My life has improved thanks to performances and new music projects," she shared.

Duyen Quynh said that the success of the song helped her become more well-known to the audience.

Playing two roles simultaneously: Artist and teacher

Having graduated from the Vocal Music department at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, Duyen Quynh has always maintained two jobs simultaneously: a performing artist and a vocal instructor. She says these are two completely opposite jobs. When performing on stage, everything must be perfect, with no room for error. Conversely, when teaching, she has to demonstrate even the mistakes so that students can recognize and correct them.

"There was a time when I taught during the day and sang at night. It was very exhausting!" Duyen Quynh confided. To balance things, she always created breaks between the two jobs to regain energy and ensure she was in the best condition for each role.

Passionate about the 300 children's songs project.

Since 2023, Duyen Quynh has collaborated with musician Nguyen Van Chung on the long-term project "300 Children's Songs". In this project, she takes on the role of "Teacher Quynh," directly teaching and performing 300 songs composed by Nguyen Van Chung. The video lessons are posted on social media platforms and receive positive feedback from parents, teachers, and children.

Following the success of the videos, the project continued to develop with the recording of audio versions for all 300 songs. Duyen Quynh said she has completed over 200 songs and is continuing to work on the rest. The goal of the project is to create a diverse musical playground suitable for children, helping them access songs with educational and wholesome content.

Academic goals and professional teaching career path

Duyen Quynh shared that ever since she was a student, she had aspired to become a vocal instructor. Her current performing career is to pursue her passion for the stage and spread positive messages. However, her long-term goal remains teaching.

"In the future, I have my own plans, such as arranging time to return to the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music to take the postgraduate entrance exam to pursue my education and earn a Master's degree. This also means I am gradually moving towards teaching at professional music schools," she affirmed.

Besides performing, Duyen Quynh also devotes a lot of effort to teaching.

Currently, Duyen Quynh says she dedicates all her time to work, including performing, teaching, voice-over work, and songwriting. She feels she is not ready for a personal relationship yet because she wants to focus entirely on her career and family.
