The E-FUSO Vision One electric heavy-duty truck marks the start of the company's electrification of its products in the future. The electric truck can travel up to 350 km on a single charge.
The E-FUSO Vision One is an electric heavy-duty truck concept with a gross vehicle weight of 23 tonnes and a cargo capacity of up to 11 tonnes, just 2 tonnes less than diesel trucks in the same segment.
The vehicle is equipped with a battery pack of up to 300 KW/h, allowing it to travel up to 350 km on a single charge. With more and more customers interested in the electric vehicle sector, along with infrastructure development and policies to help accelerate the electrification of road transport, it is entirely possible that a series of E-FUSO Vision Ones will appear on the streets of Japan or Europe within a few years.
Marc Llistosella, President and CEO of MFTBC, Head of Daimler Commercial Vehicles Asia, said: “The E-FUSO Vision One is a vision of a high-performance electric heavy-duty truck that underlines our commitment to electrification of our entire product portfolio. FUSO has been a pioneer in truck electrification for many years now.”

FUSO is also committed to electrifying its entire product range by continuing to launch fully electric commercial vehicles. In the future, all FUSO products launched on the market will have an electric version in addition to the conventional diesel vehicle line.
Also at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017, FUSO displayed the eCanter electric vehicle. The first mass-produced electric truck was launched in September in the US.
The eCanter, with its 7.5 tonne weight and 100-120 km range on a single charge, not only helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution in urban areas, but also proves commercially beneficial with savings of up to 1,000 Euros per 10,000 km of operation.
The first batch of eCanter vehicles has been delivered to customers in Japan including convenience store chain Seven-Eleven and Japan's largest logistics service provider Yamato.
