'Assasin's Creed' crew sets parkour jump record from 38 meters high
Stuntman Damien Walters is the first person in 35 years to perform a jump of this height.
Screenrant reports that stuntman Damien Walters set a record by jumping to the ground from a height of 125 feet (38 meters).
Behind-the-scenes footage shows Damien Walters performing a series of jumps at different heights before reaching the 38-metre mark. He was hoisted into the air by a crane and then landed headfirst on a thick pad on the ground. The stunt double for actor Michael Fassbender suffered a minor head injury from the fall.

The 38-meter parkour jump in the film was used as a scene where Michael Fassbender's character is chased and forced to jump off a large tower. On set, director Justin Kurzel wanted the scene to be authentic, so he used a stunt double instead of using special effects in post-production.
Assassin's Creed is a $125 million action blockbuster adapted from the popular role-playing game of the same name. Throughout its 116-minute runtime, the film is filled with mutiny, hand-to-hand combat, assassinations, and a bloodbath in the heart of the Abstergo corporation. The film also features many action scenes with top-notch staging and set design.

The film is set in parallel between the real world and the past 500 years ago. Actor Michael Fassbender plays the modern-day Callum Lynch, a criminal sentenced to death by lethal injection. Closing his eyes and thinking his life was over, Lynch suddenly wakes up between four cold blue cement walls in the Madrid research center of the Abstergo Foundation.
With the help of a scientist named Sophia Rikkin (Marion Cotillard), Lynch uses a robotic arm to enter his subconscious and connect with his ancestors. From there, Lynch jumps back to the war-torn lands of Spain in 1492, joining the fierce battle between two irreconcilable forces.
The movie opens in Vietnam from December 29.
