Emmanuel Macron sworn in as President of France
(Baonghean.vn)- A few hours ago, French President-elect Emmanuel Macron took the oath of office at the Élysée Palace in Paris.

Accordingly, Mr. Macron officially became the youngest president ever of this European country.
France's new president has pledged to reform the country's political order and restore the economy. Security was stepped up in Paris during the swearing-in ceremony at the presidential palace, with hundreds of extra police on patrol.
After his inauguration, Mr Macron will visit the Arc de Triomphe and lay flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Mr Macron takes over France from his predecessor Francois Hollande and will have to deal with a series of pressing issues, including high unemployment, radical Islamist violence and unifying a deeply divided country.

A source close to Mr. Macron said the new French President will appoint a new prime minister tomorrow (May 15) and the new government will be announced a day later.
The new President will have a busy first week. He will travel to Berlin tomorrow and hold talks with host country Chancellor Angela Merkel, and demonstrate his commitment to the European Union (EU)./.
