EU to extend sanctions against Russia
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 30, President of the European Council Donald Tusk announced that at the European Union (EU) summit next month, the bloc will extend current economic sanctions against Russia, stemming from Moscow's actions against Ukrainian naval vessels in the Azov Sea last weekend.
Speaking at a press conference within the framework of the G20 Summit taking place in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Mr. Tusk stated: "Europe is united in supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. This is why I am sure the EU will extend sanctions against Russia in December."

According to Mr. Tusk, Russia's use of force against Ukrainian naval vessels is "completely unacceptable".
Also at the press conference, Tusk emphasized that the EU has prepared for all Brexit scenarios. According to him, if the British Parliament rejects the agreement between the EU and British Prime Minister Theresa May, London's choice will be to either leave the EU without an agreement or no Brexit. Mr. Tusk also rejected the possibility of renegotiating if the British Parliament rejects the Brexit agreement on December 11.
Mr. Tusk will chair an EU summit on December 13-14, after the British Parliament votes on the deal, which Prime Minister May said is the best document London can have.
Britain is scheduled to leave the EU on March 29 next year, although some campaigners hope the Brexit process can be stopped./.
