Second team eliminated from EURO 2024
After Poland, it was Scotland's turn to be eliminated after a 0-1 loss to Hungary in Group A of EURO 2024 on the morning of June 24.
In the final match of Group A, Scotland and Hungary both want to win 3 points to keep their hopes of advancing through the spot reserved for one of the third-placed teams with good results.
The match in Stuttgart was a calculated affair with both teams taking a cautious approach. The ball was mainly played in midfield.

In the second half, Scotland put their entire squad on the attack but could not score and then collapsed when the match entered the 10th minute of injury time. After a lightning counter-attack, space opened up for Csoboth again. This time, the substitute star successfully took advantage of the opportunity to score the goal.
The match ended with a 1-0 victory for Hungary. Csoboth and his teammates rose to 3rd place in Group A with 3 points, thereby still hoping to qualify for the next round. Meanwhile, Scotland finished 4th with 1 point and became the second team, after Poland, to be eliminated from EURO 2024.

Niclas Fullkrug's 90+2 minute goal helped Germany draw 1-1 with Switzerland, while preserving the top spot in Group A of EURO 2024.
Before entering the final match of Group A, the host Germany had already secured a ticket to the next round after two consecutive victories. However, Nagelsmann and his team still wanted to secure the top spot in the group to have an easier time in the knockout round.
However, they were met by a very good Swiss side in this match. Although Germany dominated the game, they were still conceded a goal in the 28th minute thanks to Ndoye.

It was not until the 90+2 minute that substitute striker Niclas Fullkrug equalized for Germany with an accurate header, ending the match with a 1-1 draw.
Thus, "The Tank" has 7 points and leaves the group stage as the top team in Group A. Switzerland is second with 5 points.
