Europa League: English teams face many difficulties.

Shortly after conducting the draw for the Champions League group stage, the European Football Federation (UEFA) held the draw for the Europa League group stage.

The 48 teams that qualified for the Europa League group stage have just been drawn into 12 different groups.

Tottenham are in Group K along with Anzhi (Russia), Sheriff (Moldova) and Tromso (Norway).

The other two English representatives, Swansea and Wigan, also face considerable difficulties. While Swansea is in Group A with Valencia, Kuban of Russia, and St Gallen of Switzerland, Wigan will have to face Rubin Kazan (Russia), Maribor (Slovenia), and Zulte Waregem (Belgium) in Group D.

The group considered the "group of death" is Group I, which includes Lyon (France), Betis (Spain), Guimaraes (Portugal), and Rijeka (Croatia).

According to the schedule, the first round of group stage matches of the 2013/14 Europa League will kick off on September 19th. Round 2 will take place two weeks later.

The Europa League final will take place at the Juventus Stadium in Turin, Italy, on May 14, 2014.
