EVN has been assigned a key task to ensure the success of the major event in the coming months.
The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a document directing the implementation of the task of ensuring grid power and backup power to serve the series of activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2.
According to the document, to ensure safe, continuous and stable power supply during events, including training sessions, joint exercises, preliminary rehearsals, general rehearsals as well as celebrations, parades and marches, the City People's Committee requests relevant units to fully deploy technical measures and closely coordinate in organizing and operating the power system.
This is a particularly important task, as any power outage during the celebrations could seriously affect the success of this national event.

Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and related units were assigned key tasks to ensure the success of this important event.
Thu Lam Commune People's Committee was assigned to urgently coordinate with the National Power Transmission Corporation to thoroughly handle violations of the safety corridor of the 500/220kV Hiep Hoa - Dong Anh - Bac Ninh 2 transmission line, especially in the area from column 72 to column 73, with a completion deadline of July 2025.
At the same time, the City People's Committee also directed the Hanoi Electricity Corporation and the People's Committees of Dong Da, Lang, O Cho Dua, Kim Lien and Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam wards to focus on resolving 10 violations of the 110kV power grid corridor. Speeding up the construction progress of the underground 110kV power line is also identified as an urgent task.
Communes and wards in the city are assigned to strengthen propaganda work to raise public awareness of the risk of electrical accidents due to dangerous behaviors such as kite flying and fishing near high-voltage power grids. This is an important preventive measure to avoid unwanted incidents during festival activities.
At the same time, local authorities need to coordinate inspections and require fishing pond businesses in the area to sign a commitment to ensure electrical safety during the festival. This is to strictly control activities that may endanger the electrical system.
Specific tasks of EVN and Hanoi Electricity Corporation
Hanoi Electricity Corporation is tasked with thoroughly inspecting the entire power system, focusing on key areas of the city. In addition, the unit needs to proactively promote and guide people to use electricity safely, economically and effectively.

Particularly important, Hanoi Electricity Corporation must thoroughly handle the risk points of electrical safety loss to absolutely protect the safety of the community and the capital's power system. This is a vital task for the success of the commemorative activities.
The Hanoi People's Committee requested departments, branches, sectors and affiliated units to strengthen coordination with electricity distribution and sales units to organize a comprehensive review and inspection of the electricity system.
The focus is on the locations where the celebrations will take place, main streets and areas with crowded activities, to ensure absolute safety for the people and delegates attending.
In particular, Hanoi City requested Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), National Electricity System and Market Operation Company (A0), National Power Transmission Corporation, Power Transmission Company 1 and Hanoi Electricity Corporation to urgently develop an optimal power supply plan, ensuring a stable and continuous power source throughout this important event.
