Facebook has just integrated a purple flower-shaped "Gratitude" icon to celebrate Mother's Day.

The new emojis provided by Facebook in the Reaction section are intended to help users express their gratitude to their parents or the images and emotions of someone they feel are appropriate. This is a feature that the world's largest social network provided last year for Mother's Day and received quite positive feedback.

"We wanted to introduce a new Reaction button with a purple flower to honor Mother's Day," said a Facebook representative.

Like last year, this emoticon will be available for a short time, alongside the 5 popular Reaction buttons before disappearing. Currently, users in some countries and regions around the world have received this button, including Vietnam.

Mother's Day was first initiated by Anna Marie Jarvis (living in Grafton, West Virginia, USA), and legalized in 1914 by President Woodrow Wilson. Every year on the second Sunday of May, families honor their mothers. On this day, children can give their mothers red carnations if they are still alive and white carnations if they have passed away.
