Facing the prospect of losing their two key strikers, Radamel Falcao and Adrian Lopez, at the end of this season, Atletico Madrid are urgently seeking to sign Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez.

The emergence and brilliance of Robin van Persie this season has made Chicharito's chances of playing regularly more precarious than ever.

Although the Mexican striker performed excellently in Wayne Rooney's absence due to injury, manager Alex Ferguson still couldn't guarantee Chicharito a regular starting position.

The number 14 striker currently has a contract with MU until 2017.

According to Spanish media reports, the Madrid team is ready to spend £15 million to secure the signature of "Little Pea."

As for Falcao, he is almost certain to leave and is being pursued by a number of big clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. The Colombian striker scored 18 goals this season in La Liga.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are also in contact with Lopez and have offered around £10 million.
