The first foreign fan arrested in Moscow is a female citizen of Peru.
A 40-year-old Peruvian citizen suspected of pickpocketing is the first person to be detained among foreign fans in Moscow for the World Cup, said Ivan Melnikov, secretary of the Moscow Public Supervision Committee.

He noted that members of the Moscow Public Supervision Committee visited the man in prison. The Peruvian fan is in the same cell as the Spanish-speaking female prisoner. The case will now be discussed with representatives of the Peruvian Embassy in Russia.
"She did not have any complaints, but only asked to transfer the goods through friends. Now the issue of communication with representatives of Peru is being decided. In general, the Peruvian citizen feels normal health," Melnikov added.
