FIFA invited the Thai youth football team trapped in the cave to watch the World Cup final.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to TASS, FIFA has been closely monitoring news about the rescue operation of the Thai youth football team since June 23rd.

In a letter to the Football Association of Thailand, FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated that FIFA has invited the 12 teenagers and their coach currently trapped in the Tham Luang cave in Thailand to watch the FIFA World Cup 2018 final, which will be held in Moscow, Russia, on July 15th.
"As we all hope, if they are reunited with their families in the coming days and their health permits travel, FIFA would be delighted to invite them to attend as guests at the 2018 World Cup final in Moscow," said Infantino.
FIFA further noted that it has been closely monitoring news about the rescue operation for the young football team since June 23.
Earlier, on June 23, national park staff discovered a motorcycle, several bicycles, and sports equipment near an entrance to Tham Luang cave. They contacted the local football club and confirmed that the items belonged to 12 boys aged 11-16 and their 25-year-old coach.
The cave where the football team is trapped is approximately 10 kilometers long. Thai authorities have launched a rescue operation to save the victims trapped inside the cave.
