The 2015 Ford Expedition is easily distinguished from the current version by its 3-bar grille instead of 4. The front end is strong with headlights, chrome exhaust, new style wheels, redesigned tailgate and optional LED fog lights.
Like its sibling, the Expedition will come in two trim levels. The base model has a 3,022mm wheelbase, while the Expedition EL has a longer wheelbase at 3,327mm.
Inside, the cabin has not changed much compared to the current version, including a new center console and instrument cluster with two LCD screens. Other highlights include LED lighting, smart key (push-button start), 10-speaker SONY audio system and MyFord Touch infotainment system. The American car company said that the Expedition will have an additional high-end Platinum version.
Power is provided by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine and combined with a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. The American car company did not provide further information about engine capacity, but said it will not be lower than 370 horsepower and 582 Nm of torque on the 2015 Lincoln Navigator.
The 2015 Ford Expedetion comes with a new power steering system and continuously variable suspension, along with three driving modes: Comfort, Normal and Sport.
The large SUV will go on sale in late 2014 and will be unveiled at the DFW Auto Show, an event taking place in Texas (USA) from February 19 to 23.
